So, the other day I was having coffee with my boyfriend, when I started talking about a girl who was carrying the LV bag shown at the photo above (which I love). And he was looking at me without speaking. He knows I have a crush on LV bags, so it was not easy for him to say what he said: "Why is it that special? " -"Why?What is it?" -"Exactly, what is it?"
And I just answered by saying that they are pretty, and come on, they are Louis Vuitton! Ssh, they can hear you!
But after that, he got me thinking. Why are these bags so special? They don't even have something special. Just the brand. They are brown or baige, with monograms or a chessboard all over them. Why do we make such a big deal? There are many other beautiful bags that are really cheap and affordable, coming in huge varieties and for every hour of the day. We die to have a Chanel classic bag, you know, the -usually- black one with the gold chain, when we can find the same bag for $2000 less. The only thing missing is the C-C.
Why do we want these bags and we save money for a year or more to buy one of them, when with the same money we can buy a whole new closet-including the new clothes in it?
Why are we so crazy about them?
Maybe we can think about it in an another way?
